About me

Experience

Dr Daniel Groenewald is an experienced leadership and learning development specialist passionate about developing people, teams, and organisations in educational settings.

Daniel's work creates lasting change. The competency frameworks he designs give organisations a shared language for assessing, developing and unifying leadership practice. With experience across technology and education, he partners effectively with internal and external clients to turn strategic goals into practical outcomes.

He has led programs for large enterprise organisations spanning 11,000 to 19,000 staff across up to 300 sites, building capability frameworks, developing programs, and embedding them into existing processes. His experience covers the full leadership lifecycle, from emerging through to senior leaders, on the front line and in the corporate office, including curriculum design, facilitation, evaluation, continuous improvement, digitalisation, and leading delivery teams.

Daniel holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership focused on the conditions for team success, alongside certifications in Prosci Change Management, Growth Coaching, and Life Styles Inventory (LSI).

He is passionate about the craft of adult learning. Drawing on storytelling, games, and improvisation techniques grounded in the latest research, he has developed methods that ensure leadership training is deeply engaging and genuinely transformational for both the person and the organisation.

Following the work of Patrick Lencioni, Daniel believes organisations get better when hungry, humble, people-smart individuals are supported to become the best they can be, in teams that are well-led, and in organisations that contribute to society.
